It's Thursday, and getting close to 6:00. I'm very excited to leave soon and have a night off. I need to spend the night in the jam spot with a few different bands. Graham starts walking around, going the back room, not really helping me. It's not busy out, and we each take little breaks from time to time, but I want to get ready to leave. Ronn shows up and the two of them talk and hang around. KC walks in as I notice that someone wants ice cream. I squeeze in around Krista, who is washing her hands, and ask the lady what she would like. Krista squeezes out past me, and the lady orders. We don't have any of the flavours she wants, and we have a bunch of new flavours that no one told me about. I invite her to come in behind to look at the new flavours as I tell her their names. She decides on one scoop of something (I forget) and one scoop of Black Raspberry Cheesecake. Then, she goes over to the cash to pay, herself! I hear her saying thins like "darn" and "how do you work this?" By the time I realize she's trying to get into the cash register, she's figured it out and put in a five dollar bill and taken her change. I go over to say hi to KC, and Graham says "well, I gotta go to the Attic, then....see you tomorrow." I get confused and angry. "But it's Thursday! I'm off at 6:00, right? I need to go to a doctor and the jam spot. I have plans!" By the time we get everything straightened out, it's 6:30. I leave.

We'd been on the road for quite awhile, and we find ourselves somewhere extremely rural. It's time to stop for the night somewhere. KC and I decide on a small bed and breakfast that is basically a part of someone's house. The woman is very much like my mother. She helps us get comfortable, and shows us to a room down the hall with two twin beds. Sometimes, I pass Melissa in the hallway heading to and from the bathroom. We have a very good sleep that night. After a delicious breakfast, we get back in the car. Across the street is another small building. Other than the two houses, the street is barren for miles in each direction. I say, "I wonder how Darcy and Christian made out last night." KC made a joke about them making out.
Our next stop is a house party in a city in New Brunswick. I don't know how or when we picked up the other guys, this "scene" starts with us in the living room. We walk in as the first band is finishing. There's a long break between bands, and I meet a few people. The next band has a female frontman with jet-black hair. She's does some spoken word, gets off the "stage" and walks around the party for a bit. I notice Janice is here. I go sit next to her and say hello. She was in town from Montreal, visiting family, and she heard we were playing. The black haired girl comes over, puts her arms under mine from behind and lifts. I only come up a little off the floor. It was a big hug. "Was that Joan Jett?" Janice asks. I nod and smile. [But, it wasn't Joan Jett. I mean, for the purpose of the dream, it was. But, she didn't really look like herself, and she was our age and friends with the people who owned the house.] After the hug, Joan went outside with some folks for a cigarette. I sat with Janice a bit, and then decided I wanted a smoke as well. Between the spoken word, and the smoke break, Joan's band had played one song. In between songs, they took breaks that were longer than the songs themselves. Just a minute or two after I joined the group of smokers, they all went inside. I looked around, and the wall of the building across the street was covered in huge posters that said "the Hold." I was standing out of the side door. The front was to my left, and the parkade was to my right. Darcy found me outside and said he was going to put the car in the parkade. I decided to join him. But, when we got inside, everyone gave us weird looks. There was some sort of library or computer room in the parkade. We stashed the bass in there [God knows why]. Upon returning to the house party, I saw that KC was on stage. His performance involved him taking a bunch of pills. But, he was tricking the audience, and only swallowed the two antibiotics he was supposed to take. Depressed in the back room, I decided to follow suit. I took a huge handful of Tylenol, and downed them without water. Then, I swallowed two antibiotics. After swallowing all those pills, I noticed the little pile behind KC. He didn't actually take them! I ran to them bathroom and tried to induce vomiting. All I managed to do was spit up a small amount of blood. We didn't get to play because Joan's band took too many breaks, and we piled into the van [yes, it was a car earlier] , enthusiastically thanking Janice [maybe she saved me]. Melissa had apparently been waiting in the van the whole time.
Finally, we pulled into the parking lot of a skyscraper apartment building in Toronto. Who do we spot pulling out of the parking space next to us? Why, none other than Contrived. They've been on town for a few days, and they are familiar with the people we are staying with in this building. So, they decide to park, and show us in and introduce us. When we get inside, I realize I need more cigarettes. Tim [yes, I know he's not in the band anymore. It's a dream] points me to a store in the foyer. I go in the store, and discover I haven't heard of any of the cigarette brands. They have Players, but they have different names. Like [but I can't remember so I'm making it up] Players Hard, instead of Smooth. Anyway, I walk around the store while I think of these weird brands. I get some toiletries and juice, and go back to the counter. I say to the clerk when he asks if that's everything "well, I need some cigarettes, but I haven't heard of these brands." Just as I finish that sentence, I see a pack of Export A Medium in the display case. "Oh, I'll take those." I leave the store, and I'm alone once again. Everyone has gone up in the elevator, and I don't even know the names of the people we're staying with.
